Cameron Smedley (born October 9, 1990 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a canoeist from Canada who has competed in the World Championships (2009). He is a member of the Canadian National Whitewater Slalom Team.[1]

Competition

Cameron competes in the C-1 category, which is solo canoeing. At the Canadian Slalom Team Trials 2009, he earned a position on the Canadian team. This qualified him to compete on behalf of Canada at the 2009 World Cup Races, and World Championships.

As a Junior competitor, Cameron placed 9th in the finals of the 2008 Junior World Championships.[2]

Education

Cameron attended West Carleton Secondary School located in Dunrobin, Ontario, and graduated in 2008.

He is currently attending Carleton University, and is enrolled in Mechanical Engineering.
